When do rodents sleep?

Depending on the species of rodent you own, their sleep behavior may vary. But it's important to know that, in general, many domestic rodents are nocturnal or crepuscular, such as hamsters, rats, and mice, for example.

This means they sleep and relax in their nests during the day.

The hamster is particularly known as a very nocturnal animal, meaning they are mostly active at night while resting during the day.
Rats, on the other hand, can exhibit varied behavior, and their habits will depend on several factors such as their environment or their relationship with you.

The best advice we can give you is to observe your rodent carefully and adapt to their circadian rhythm; their well-being will only improve.

What size cage for which rodent?

Generally, rodents love to roam, so don't hesitate to let them run around your house. But when it comes to the cage, each rodent has its own needs, which will mainly depend on its species:
