Instructions Rinse pouch under tap water. Place pouch in the path of water flow in the aquarium filter. Pillow activity lasts 48 hours. After 48 hours, recharging is necessary. To recharge: dissolve 3 tbsp of API AQUARIUM SALT in 7 oz. of tap water. Rinse the pouch with tap water, then soak in the salt solution for 2 hours. Return to the filter. When the pillow is not in use, store it in a recharge solution; do not let the pillow dry out. Replace when the pillow stops working properly after recharging
