Exo Terra Tree Bark is an all-natural and biodegradable reptile substrate made from sustainable tree bark. This bark is ideal as a decorative substrate in terrariums for humidity-loving reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from humid tropical climates.
The hygroscopic power of the bark naturally regulates the humidity level in the terrarium by absorbing moisture and then slowly releasing it. The unique shape and size of the bark particles stimulate natural digging behavior and prevent crickets from hiding in the substrate.
To smooth and dust the bark, it is intensely polished, then heat-treated to reduce bacterial contamination.
