Designed to provide superior water quality, the Fluval C4 Power Filter delivers comprehensive 5-stage filtration for exceptional results. This filter offers maximized filtration surface area and optimal contact time at each stage of the process.
The first two mechanical filtration stages are carried out by a thick layer of foam/polyester that traps both fine and large debris and can be easily removed for cleaning. Then, placed in an easy-to-handle removable basket, activated carbon performs complete chemical filtration and effectively removes toxins.
During the last two stages, the Bio-Screen filter media, a very large surface where beneficial bacteria can develop, performs biological filtration; this filter media also prevents debris from entering the trickle chamber filled with C-Nodes cylinders, which promote rapid and powerful nitrification.
This power filter also includes a patented re-filtration system that allows the water outlet flow to be reduced to provide a flow rate suitable for delicate plants and fish. Furthermore, as water circulates at a moderate speed, it remains inside the filter longer, making the water even cleaner.
The fully modular design of the filter allows you to manage each stage independently; this means you can make changes at distinct times to maintain constant biological activity. Thus, you avoid creating a stressful environment while ensuring that your aquarium water remains crystal clear.
The Fluval C4 Power Filter includes foam/polyester, activated carbon, C-Nodes cylinders, and a Bio-Screen pad.
This filter is suitable for freshwater or saltwater aquariums with a capacity of 150 L (40 US gal) to 265 L (70 US gal). The Fluval C Series power filter range includes models C2, C3, and C4.
