Exo Terra Jungle Earth is an all-natural and biodegradable reptile substrate made from sustainable tree bark. This earth is ideal as a decorative substrate for creating naturalistic terrarium setups for humidity-loving reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from humid tropical climates.
The hygroscopic power of the bark naturally regulates the humidity level in the terrarium by absorbing moisture and then slowly releasing it. The finely shredded pine bark particles stimulate natural burrowing behaviors and allow reptiles to form firm nesting burrows similar to their natural shelters.
The soil is also heat-treated to reduce bacterial contamination.
